Every year the Fresno BabyFest promotes and demonstrates the practice of "babywearing."

What is babywearing?
Quite simply, wearing your baby!

As one BabyFest attendee was overheard saying, commenting on the people she saw at the Fest: "I've never seen so many babies in slings in all my life!"

We are proud to hear that! We want to promote babies in-arms, vs. babies in "buckets"...and you will find many people you can talk to about the diverse ways you can "wear" your babies, and the many benefits of it, at the Fresno BabyFest! 

Along with our babywearing booth, manned by mamas experienced in using a variety of slings and carriers who will demonstrate their use, you will also find baby slings for sale (at booths manned by even more experienced babywearing mamas that will help you learn how to use their slings), for raffle, and demonstrated in our annual "Baby Carrier Fashion Show!" During our Fashion show, many different slings and carriers will be modeled in a variety of positions. You will also get to hear a little about why babywearing is so beneficial for both baby and mama!
